Success Rates of Dental Implants

The chances of success of a dental implant depend on a number of factors. These are:

–> Operator skill
–> Quality of bone available at the site
–> Quantity of bone available at the site
–> The patient’s oral hygiene

Usually dental implants have a success rate of about 95 per cent. Dental implants fail very rarely.

The success of a dental implant is determined by the acheivement and maintenance of implant stability. This is refered to as “Implant Stability Quotient” or ISQ.
